Hey Marc,
I started listening to your podcast as a way to get through long hours at a factory job, and for that it was great! I’ve since quit that but now find the podcast great for studying while I attend university. I subscribed to songhenge a few months ago and finally purchased a cd from one of the artists….Thanks for introducing me to some great music I would never have heard otherwise. PS, my daughters (3 yrs and 1yr) love dancing to the music, there’s something about it….

Found your site a week ago! This is great stuff!
One request as I listen to the interviews in this one…next time can you PLEASE mix them down into mono. As I’m listening to the first interview (wearing headphones), I hear your voices moving slowly back and forth from left to right speaker. Mainly in the center but it’s a bit distracting when you or the other guy suddenly move more to the left or right side.

Great Show Marc – what a great selection of music.
My favorite song of this show for #99 is “Tribal Pipes” by The Crossing.

This song featured the traditional sound with a touch of a new sound towards the end of the song. The piping & drums is fantastic on this song. Great stuff!!!

I loved the music on this episode! I didn’t suscribe to the podcast till September so I hadn’t heard some of the songs.

And thanks for all the podcast recs. I’ve been afraid of Celtic music – my dad listens to out-of-tune bagpipe crap and claims it’s “music” – so I hadn’t ventured beyond your podcasts. But I like the podcasts that I’ve checked out so far and can’t wait to check out the others you suggested.

While I love the music in your podcast, I’m almost always frustrated by the format — except for this time. I have to really really fall in love with a song to come back to my computer and figure out which song it was, who performed it, and actually buy it. This has happened at most once in the years I’ve listened. This format of featuring a single group and disk means that when the podcast is done, i know exactly what I’ve been listening to. I don’t know if I’ll buy this one, but finally I can actually consider buying something you’ve put in your podcast.

I only have a US phone. So you would need to dial an extension to call the U.S.. Course you can also send an MP3. Either way works.

I’ve been rereading all the Harry Potter books the last few weeks and have been listening to episodes of this podcast and the Pub songs podcast while doing so. And I gotta say, for some reason, the pod casts put a different feel to the books. It makes them more emotional somehow. Thanks for all the great music.
